Bob McGinnis, P.E., SPEC - President and CEO
Bob founded the consulting firm that is now Bear Creek Engineering in 1990 having held engineering or management positions with Shell Oil, Superior Oil, Texas Oil & Gas, and smaller independents. He is recognized as an expert in petroleum engineering by several courts and regulatory agencies. He chaired SPE's society-wide Well Completions and Computer Applications committees, authored several technical papers, and been published in the Journal of Petroleum Technology and American Oil & Gas Reporter. Bob received his engineering degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1978.
Jim Strain, P.E. - Vice President, Cased Hole/Stimulation
Jim joined Bear Creek in 2007 after 28 years with Halliburton in technical, management and sales positions. He is known throughout the industry for his knowledge and experience in hydraulic fracturing, having designed approximately 10,000 frac jobs and supervised approximately 2,500 frac jobs. Jim currently serves on SPE's society-wide Well Stimulation committee. He received his engineering degree from the University of Tennessee in 1979.

Morgan O'Brien - Vice President, Drilling
Morgan joined Bear Creek in 2012, bringing with him more than 35 years of drilling engineering and management experience. His career began in 1977 as a Drilling and Production Engineer for Pennzoil, and continued with stints as Vice President for O'Brien Operating Company and Drilling Manager for Grey Wolf Turnkey in Houston. Morgan gained extensive knowledge of horizontal shale technology as Eagle Ford Drilling Manager for Petrohawk Energy, managing a 17-rig drilling program. Morgan graduated in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University in 1976.
